Nobody's as good as Chris

This song is the best example of a perfect opening track of an album. Everything about this song gets the listener listening to this album for the first time's attention and perfectly sets the mood for what's about to come after this song. I always have to listen to Rusty Cage first before Outshined and the rest of the album. The two flow together so well.

I get literal chills every time at 1:00. My favorite part of the song. So heavy and haunting and desperate sounding, but so fucking badass and awesome, especially the background riff at 1:14. There's something about the background riff at that part that I love so fucking much because it's straight up Sabbath and doom metal influenced, which makes this song even more fucking awesome because of the influence of the legendary band from the 70s that invented heavy metal, Black Sabbath.

Just because the riffs are technical, doesn't mean they're good. Weakest track on a killer album

One day my brother, who's not really into hard rock music, was like "hey is Axl Rose one of the best rock singers of all time?" I was like "he's ok, but no, not of all time. Freddie Mercury, Robert Plant, Chris Cornell is on that list." He was like "Chris who?" I said "the Soundgarden guy." He was like "Fell On Black Days??? No way dude" I was like "yes way dude." Then I showed him this song, and he was like "oh."

This album has the perfect sound for a hard rock/metal band. I absolutely love Superunknown but the sound of this album is insane.
